Cafe One - Indooroopilly
The concept of the Café kiosk is a modern design inspired by the subtropical rainforest of Queensland combine with Euoprean Art deco inspired Finishes. The design adopts clean straight line and strong geometry in which every function of the kiosk is clearly defined. The design represents a modern, elegant and attractive exterior without the use of excessive classical detailing; high end materials are used in tone with the nearby surrounding that invites the customer for a pleasant culinary experience.
The interior of the kiosk contains a large amount of the cabinets and shelving carefully positioned to maximise the internal storage space. The cabinets and shelves are designed to hide the appliances from direct view and also accommodates large amount of kitchen dishes, cutlery and ingredients. The aim is to contain the “chaos” and create an organised and uncluttered environment for the users.
The material used throughout the kiosk is carefully selected to reflect the Design concept and also be cost effective and easy to maintain. The Materials for the kiosk are bright and full of energy. The material for the bench top is made of a highly durable reconstituted stone in marble texture; the façade of the kiosk is tiled with beautiful green glased tiles which complements the marble look. The base is raised slightly using low maintenance bronze metallic materials designed to be splatter and scratch proof. The Main focus of the design is the glass display fridge positioned on the main corner of the kiosk, the form is slightly extruded breaking up the volume and act as a visual presentation of the menu, drawing attention from both the customers and pedestrians passing by.
